What is ePUB Reader for Windows

Epub Reader for Windows is a simple program that displays ePub files and can convert them to PDF format.

When you first download ePub Reader for Windows, you get an installer file for the free trial version. It's a small file that configures the application for your computer and installs the necessary libraries and directories. You can launch ePub Reader for Windows at the end of setup by clicking "Finish."

The application interface is nicely arranged, including a navigation sidebar as well as buttons for adding ePub files to your library, searching for words or files and converting files to PDF format. In the trial version, you also have the option to buy the application from a button embedded in the menu bar. Anyone should be able to start using the program right away.

If you run into problems using the application, you can access the user guide by clicking "Help" in the menu bar. Additionally, you can exit from the reader at any time and return to your main library by clicking "Home."

Converting ePub files to PDF format removes their flowable content, which means that if you open the converted file in another program and try to resize the window, the text doesn't realign to fit the window. Instead, it scales larger or smaller without dynamically rearranging itself in the window. Still, PDF files can be more useful than ePub files when you want to send a document to someone in an email or text message.

The main problem with ePub Reader for Windows is its price and short trial period. Other free applications offer many more features than ePub Reader for Windows. After 15 days, you must uninstall the program or pay the $29.95 charge to continue reading and converting ePub files. Some users may find this price reasonable considering the small application size and simplicity of the user interface, but other users may want support for other e-book formats, such as MOBI and AZW.

Epub Reader for Windows doesn't convert files to any format other than PDF. While most ePub files should convert without flaws, some files with particularly complicated formatting may not convert perfectly. When converting a file, you have the option to save the file on your computer and add it to your ebook library. Then you can access the converted file from the navigation sidebar.

While reading ePub files, you can skip to a specific page by clicking the page number in the navigation bar. If your ebook includes chapter information, the chapters are listed in order below the title. Clicking the arrow next to a chapter expands its contents and allows you to navigate to a specific page. While this feature is handy, it would also be nice to include a thumbnail image for quick navigation.
